We make a strong effort to be as sustainable a lingerie brand as possible! Our small business model and emphasis on small batch, local manufacturing (with 100% renewable energy) are the best tools we have to fight against fast fashion. We create high-quality and long-lasting garments that transcend seasonality, using primarily natural fibres and recycled packaging, and we also off-set the impact of shipping with carbon neutral delivery on every order. We're constantly replenishing our stock with handcrafted lingerie designs, straight from our English atelier. If your size has sold out, please contact us for restock options. We can often make the item to order just for you. If an item has been permanently discontinued, this will be noted on its product page.

We offer 2 packaging options at checkout: With our Standard Packaging, your items will arrive flat wrapped in tissue paper in a plain cardboard box. With our new Luxe Packaging, your items will arrive wrapped in a luxury magnetic gift box, perfect for a premium unboxing experience. Learn more about Luxe packaging here.

We do not include prices on garment hang tags so that they are ready for gift-giving, but please be aware that international shipments are required by law to include the retail values of each item in the package on the customs form.

You'll find directions on the care tags sewn into each piece of your lingerie. We also include an instructional leaflet with all of our lingerie sets to make it easy for you to clean them properly. We do recommend dry cleaning for larger items like silk robes and lounge wear, though.

For bras and panties, you may hand wash them with a specially-formulated silk or delicates wash: Simply soak in cool soapy water for a few minutes and gently rinse. Then roll your items up into a towel to press out the excess moisture, and hang or lay flat to dry. Do not put your delicates in the washing machine or tumble dryer.

We do our best to ensure that our customers love our products, but if you do need to make a return, we’re happy to help. Just email us directly and we’ll take you through the process. We cannot refund any returns that arrive back at our office without written consent. For more details, please see our shipping and return policies page.

The easiest way to determine your size is to use a soft measuring tape and compare your body circumference measures to our size chart. If you haven't done this before, read our handy guide on How to Measure Yourself. You can also use your dress size to determine your sizing. Please be aware that different brands use different size charts, so you may not wear the same size in Angela Friedman lingerie as you do from your local bra shop.

Many of our items are made to order, so to avoid unnecessary returns, please contact us with your fitting questions before placing your order, and we'll respond within 24 hours.

Yes! We often make custom pieces to suit individual clients' needs. Maybe you fall in between sizes, wear a plus size, or need to accommodate a pregnant tummy... or maybe you just want a slip that's a few inches longer or a robe with shorter sleeves than pictured. We automatically do not include price tags inside the wrapped packaging for easy gifting. However, we are required by law to list the items' values on exterior customs forms for international orders.

Our offices are located in London, England, but we gladly ship lingerie worldwide. Shipping costs will vary based on your location, and these costs are added at checkout, except for free standard shipping on orders over £250. In-stock: Lingerie items (bras and knickers) are in-stock and ready to ship, usually within 1 business day. We'll contact you if we anticipate any delays.

Made-to-order: Loungewear items (slips, robes, and some other specialty pieces) are made-to-order, and require a short production time before shipping. These items are clearly noted with a current production time estimate below the "add to cart" button.

Typical transit times:

• UK: 2-3 days for standard or 1-2 days for express
• Europe: 4-8 days for standard or 2-4 days for express
• USA: 5-10 days for standard or 2-5 days for express
• Rest of the world: 1-3 weeks for standard or 3-7 days for express

All of these times are in business days and exclude weekends and holidays. If you're in a rush, we suggest contacting us for suggestions or buying a digital gift card. Please understand that sometimes there may be delays due to customs processing or your local postal facilities.

We offer free standard shipping (worldwide) for orders over £250 GBP, available automatically at checkout. For orders below the free shipping threshold:

Yes! You'll receive free standard shipping on orders over £250 (worldwide) at checkout. This includes tracked and insured shipping via the Royal Mail and your local postal service.

Yes, we offer express shipping options via Royal Mail Special Delivery to the UK (next day) and via UPS Express for orders to the USA (2-5 days), Europe (2-4 days), and the rest of the world (4-7 days). Note that rush shipping estimates do not include processing times, and we aren't responsible for any delays due to customs backlogs or the courier.

Rush processing: If your item is in-stock, we will ship it within 1 business day or notify you if there is any anticipated delay. But if your item is made-to-order (as noted on the product page), it may not be possible to rush the production aspect. This depends on the time of year and how many items are in our the order queue. If you need your order to arrive by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order so that we can properly advise you.

If you need something right now, we also have gift cards! These are perfect in case of a lingerie emergency - You'll receive the gift card via email immediately.

We're proud to say yes! We use carbon off-sets to provide carbon-neutral delivery on every single order at no additional cost to our customers.

That means that based on the size, weight, and destination of your order, we pay for direct air capture, mineralization, and/or nature-based carbon removal to ensure that your shipment is 100% carbon-neutral. We also use only recycled and FSC certified boxes and paper for our shipments. You can learn more about all of our sustainable business practices here.

Our items are shipped in plain, unbranded packaging for your discretion, with either brown cardboard boxes or grey envelopes. The "from" line will read "Angela Friedman" but that is the only identifying information, aside from customs forms where applicable.

For international packets, we're required by law to accurately inventory all items inside. The customs form will list something like "Ladies' clothing: silk robe" and include the retail value of the items inside. Although we do not include price tags inside the wrapped packaging, we're required to put this information on customs forms for international orders.

United Kingdom: Our displayed prices include 20% VAT for UK residents.

United States: All taxes, tariffs, and import duties are now included in your displayed prices (as of August 21, 2025.) We collect all necessary import taxes up front and pay them on your behalf, so you will receive your order hassle-free and without any customs delays or unexpected tax bills. Please read our full statement on US taxes.

European Union: You may be charged VAT and customs fees by the courier or postal service upon delivery. Our displayed prices do not include VAT for EU residents, so your displayed prices are already 20% lower to accommodate for being charged taxes at the port of entry.

Rest of the world: Our displayed prices do not include taxes, but your local government may levy import duty or customs fees at the port of entry, which are your responsibility to pay. If you're unsure about what fees you may owe, please contact your local authority prior to ordering.

Our shopping cart system is integrated with Shopify's award-winning credit card processing system. It is 100% secure, so you don't need to worry over inputting your information. We also accept PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay at checkout. Your personal information is kept privately and securely in our office, and we will never sell or give away any information about our clients.

In short? We're not. We do not offer seasonal sales, discounts, or coupon codes. We don't believe in artificially inflating prices in order to discount them later, like most retailers do. Instead, we believe in prices that honestly reflect the time, energy, and materials that go into each design.

One of our core values is 100% ethical manufacturing, including fair wages and sustainable business practices. Creating clothing by hand in the UK is much more costly than mass-production overseas, so our pricing may be higher than that of larger brands. But we're confident that once you learn more about the benefits of silk lingerie, you'll be convinced!
